How to Create and Use Webstories in Your Website


Webstories are a great way to present mobile-friendly, interactive content using slides. These are ideal for product showcases, promotions, restaurant menus, and visual storytelling.


1. Creating a New Web Story


  1. Open the CMS Dashboard.
  2. Click on Stories (Pro feature only).
  3. Click Add New Story.
  4. Enter a Story Name (the slug is auto-generated).
  5. Add an optional Description.
  6. Click Save Changes.


Your new story will now appear in the Stories List, where you can:

Edit – Customize slides and content.

Duplicate – Create a copy for future use.

Preview – See how it looks before publishing.

Delete – Remove a story permanently.


2. Editing & Adding Slides to Your Story


Adding Pre-Made Story Slides

  1. Click Edit on your story.
  2. Click Add New Slide at the bottom.
  3. Select a Pre-Made Story Layout from the Story Block Manager.
  4. Choose Replace Global Styling to match the selected template.
  5. Repeat the process to add more slides.


Creating Custom Slides

  1. Click Add New Slide.
  2. Choose Blank Slide.
  3. Use the Elements Drawer to add:
  • Text
  • Buttons
  • Images
  • Shapes (for backgrounds and design).


3. Customizing Story Elements


Web stories have unique editing features compared to regular page elements.

Placing and Resizing Elements

  • Click to drag and reposition elements freely.
  • Resize using the corner handles.
  • Use text styling options to match your brand.


Using Buttons & Slide Navigation

  1. Add a Button Element from the sidebar.
  2. Click the Settings icon and select Slide Link.
  3. Choose the target slide users should jump to when they click the button.
  4. Adjust color, size, and position as needed.


4. Setting Up Story Navigation & Autoplay


  1. Click Story Settings (top-right corner).
  2. Enable Autoplay if you want slides to change automatically.
  • Set the pause duration per slide (e.g., 3 seconds).
  1. Enable Looping if you want the story to restart automatically.


5. Publishing and Previewing the Story


  1. Click Publish to make the story live.
  2. Click Preview to test the story before publishing.
  • On desktop, you can click through slides.
  • On mobile, swiping left/right will navigate the story.
  1. To test mobile responsiveness:
  • Press F12 on your keyboard to open the Developer Tools.
  • Click the Device Toolbar and select a mobile device preview.


6. Linking Webstories to Your Website


Since Web Stories function like regular pages, you can:

  • Add them to your navigation menu.
  • Use a button/link to open a story.
  • Embed them in blog posts, product pages, or landing pages.
