How to Use the Assets Element on Your Website


The Assets element works similarly to the Posts element, allowing you to display content from your CMS dynamically. This guide will show you how to add, customize, and filter assets to match your website’s design and functionality.


1. Adding the Assets Element


Step 1: Insert the Assets Element

  1. Open your website builder.
  2. Go to Add Elements → Scroll to CMS.
  3. Select Assets and drag and drop it onto your page.

It automatically populates with CMS content, just like blog posts.


2. Configuring the Assets Layout


Step 2: Adjust Columns, Rows, and Spacing

  1. Click on the Assets element to access the settings.
  2. Set the number of columns (e.g., 1, 2, or 3 per row).
  3. Adjust rows to control how many assets appear at a time.
  4. Modify spacing between assets for a clean design.


3. Customizing Asset Content


Step 3: Modify Elements

  • Image: Click to change or remove it.
  • Title: Editable within each asset or directly in the settings.
  1. Author Name:Click on Add Text Element.
  2. Select the server icon and choose Author Name.
  3. Align it as needed (left, center, right).
  • Links & Buttons:Ensure the Read More button links to the Asset URL.
  • Customize the button style (color, size, font).


4. Filtering and Sorting Assets


Step 4: Apply Filters

Under Filter Options, you can:

  • Choose a specific source (e.g., featured assets, categories).
  • Include or exclude specific assets.
  • Use an offset to skip certain assets (e.g., skip the first 2).


Under Order Direction, set assets to display:

  • Newest to Oldest (default).
  • Oldest to Newest (for chronological order).


5. Adding Pagination for Large Asset Lists


Step 5: Enable Pagination

  1. If you have many assets, enable pagination for better navigation.
  2. Choose between numeric pagination or "Load More" buttons.


6. Styling the Assets Section


Step 6: Customize Styling & Layout

  • Go to Settings to modify:
  • Padding and Margins for spacing.
  • Font Styles and Colors for titles, descriptions, and author names.
  • Background and Border Effects for enhanced design.


7. Optimizing for Mobile & Tablet


Step 7: Ensure Responsive Design

  • Switch to Tablet View and Mobile View.
  • Adjust columns per row (e.g., 1 asset per row on mobile).
  • Resize images and text to fit smaller screens.
