How to Use Dynamic Elements in Your Website

Dynamic elements allow you to automatically pull content from your blog posts, assets, and other data sources without manually updating each page. This is essential for creating blog layouts, post templates, and other content-driven pages.

1. Understanding Dynamic Elements

Dynamic elements replace static content with auto-generated data. These elements include:

  • Images (e.g., Featured Image)
  • Text (e.g., Post Title, Excerpt, Date)
  • Videos
  • Countdown Timers
  • Ratings

2. Adding a Dynamic Image (Featured Image)

  1. Insert an Image Element into your block.
  2. Click on the Image Settings.
  3. Instead of manually uploading an image, click on the Silver Dynamic Icon.
  4. Choose Featured Image from the post data options.
  5. Customize the image settings:
  • Custom or Original Size
  • Filters and Overlays
  • Hover Effects
  • Animation and Scroll Effects

This ensures that each post dynamically displays its own featured image.

3. Adding a Dynamic Post Title

  1. Insert a Text Element into your block.
  2. Click on the Typography (T) icon in the settings.
  3. Click on the Silver Dynamic Icon.
  4. Select Post Title from the options.
  5. Format the title:
  • Set it to Heading 1 (H1) for SEO purposes.
  • Adjust the color, font, and size as needed.

Each post will now automatically display its correct title.

4. Adding a Dynamic Excerpt

  1. Insert another Text Element.
  2. Click on the Typography (T) icon.
  3. Click the Silver Dynamic Icon and select Post Excerpt.
  4. Style the excerpt:
  • Keep it short and readable.
  • Adjust the font size and color for better readability.

5. Adding a Dynamic Post Date

  1. Insert another Text Element.
  2. Click on the Typography (T) icon.
  3. Click the Silver Dynamic Icon and select Post Date.
  4. Format the date as needed.

Now, every post will automatically display its publication date.

6. Using Global Blocks for Blog Templates

Instead of setting up these elements manually for every post, you can:

  1. Create a Global Block with dynamic elements.
  2. Apply the Global Block to all blog posts.
  3. When a new post is created, it will automatically use the template.

This method ensures consistency and saves time when managing multiple blog posts.

By using dynamic elements, you can automate content updates, improve efficiency, and maintain a professional blog layout without manually adjusting each post.
